Navy Pier

Cameron woke up just in time to ride on the giant Navy Pier ferris wheel.

I should tell you that Lukas and I got super lost trying to walk to the Navy Pier. It was one of those times where you can physically see where you want to be, you just don't know how to get there. Ugh.

It wasn't all bad though. We got to walk around in a residential area that had beautiful apartments/condos. I enjoyed that bit because I like to picture what it would be like to live in a big city and I like to picture myself coming out of one of those places to head off to my daily grind. It's another world for me then and I think it's fun that way. :)

Interestingly enough, we found this really nice couple from China who were just as lost as we were and who were looking for the Navy Pier! So we all got more lost together.

A long time later, we found it!

We were starving so we went to McDonald's and then headed upstairs to the rides. The ferris wheel was super huge, but before you get scared, you should know that it was completely windowed in. And also, I wasn't letting go of Cameron for one second. You can see my arms getting tighter around him the higher we go.

After surviving the Ferris Wheel ride Cameron was not interested in getting back into his stroller. Not even a little bit. So we went to this really great little park right inside the Navy Pier area.

He was totally loving this!

He went for a little walk
He sat and looked super cute!
He waved to the passersby.
He took in the view

It was a gorgeous day (as you can see) and he had a really great time!  It's funny what happens when you wake up!  Ha ha.
