The Bean

Can you find me? I'm the one standing in the middle behind the giant stoller.

I wanted to go to this thing since I saw a picture of it on the "visit Chicago" website. Maybe I'm a little strange for getting this excited for something like a giant statue in the shape of a bean but I could not wait to get in front of this thing with my family and my camera.

I had visions of Cameron's little baby-ness standing in front of it looking at his reflection and patting on it with his little dimpled baby hands while squealing with delight. I would be behind him snapping his toothy smile in the reflection of the bean.  It would be a great moment and a rather creative photo op if I do say so myself.  Apparently these are the things I daydream about.

That did not happen because Cameron was enjoying his morning nap. Yes, Cameron was sleeping through more of Chicago. I can't blame him though. The weather was perfect and if someone were to have pushed me around in his stroller all day I would have slept too.

That did not mean that my camera was neglected. We still took lots of pictures! Lukas was a super good sport!

(PS. On my computer this picture is sideways and he looks like he's floating.  It looks way cooler, but this is still fun!)

And now, for this post's grand finale. (I am so proud of this you guys). Thanks to the help and inspiration of a far more talented blogger I present you with an animation:

Ta Da! My favorite part of this picture (besides the strutting stud of course) is the reflection of the buildings in the bean up above. Kudos to whoever designed this Cloud Gate statue.

And... Thank you Amy for helping me out with the animation!
