29 Weeks Tomorrow :)

So, in case you were wondering why I would be blogging ahead of time, it is because our little family will be venturing to

DISNEY WORLD

tomorrow morning and won't be back until Monday.  Seeing as I'll be a little busy tomorrow, I'll be posting today!

This week I swear to you my sweet boy has had a growth spurt.  He all of a sudden feels bigger to me and is starting to roll around.  All good things.  :)

I would also like to inform you that I felt extremely balanced, yet accomplished this week.  I'm going to go ahead and blame that little incident on being preggo.

So...

  • How far along? 29 Weeks
  • Total weight gain/loss: +20
  • Maternity clothes? Yes. And I already don't like the way they're fitting.
  • Sleep: Better.
  • Best moments this past week:  Cameron and I ventured back over to Sawgrass park this Wednesday for a picnic.  It was really fun and gorgeous.  We even saw some otters!
  • Food cravings: Lots of sweets.
  • Gender: boy
  • Labor Signs: No
  • Belly Button in or out? In.  Flattening.
  • What I miss:  My old clothes.
  • What I am looking forward to: Tomorrow at DISNEY WORLD!
  • Weekly Wisdom:  Balance your work load and don't prioritize it over things that really feel more important to you at the time.  I ended up getting everything I wanted to done and didn't take away time from my family.  :)

  • And now the baby is...

An acorn squash. We are somewhere around 3 pounds. We are almost our entire height and we are fattening up. Our brain is really forming and coming together and "starting to look like a brain." He also moves all the time and it is a lot of fun. He likes to make his appearances all over my stomach, sides, and such, not just in one place.

So I was looking at my pregnancy with Cameron and at 29 weeks, we went to Disney world for our Babymoon/anniversary!  Funny huh?  See for yourself here.

    28 Weeks!

Raise your hand if you're in your 3rd Trimester!

Raise your hand if you're a total nesting freak for your entire pregnancy?

Seriously, I can't stop organizing.  I can't stop making mental to do lists.  I can't stop redecorating, repurposing, and making to do piles (put away in organization baskets of course!)  It all started in November/December when

    1.  I emptied everything out of the guest room to turn it into the new nursery and decided to have a yard sale and
    2.  I completely organized the floor to ceiling wall of science materials at Lukas' school and gave it all a new home.

That's where it started, I'll let you know where it ends.  Or at least slows down.  Ha ha.

Okay, now that you've stepped into the black hole that I refer to as my brain lately, I will bring you onto a little normalcy.

    This week has been fun.

We got a little dirty mouth.

We celebrated Lukas' birthday.  All weekend.  That was pretty darn fun!  We made cupcakes with Lukas' class (I can't show you pictures because those aren't my personal children).  We had a small family party.  Lukas and I went on a dinner date.  We know how to par-tay!

Upon all of the partying and eating.  We ended the week slightly pooped.

But not too pooped to blog!

    • How far along? 28 weeks, working on month 7 and the third trimester!
    • Total weight gain/loss: I'd say that this weekend may have pushed me into the 20's.
    • Maternity clothes? Yes. Today someone asked me how I had lost my 17 month old baby fat so quickly.  Um...  Thank you, but...  What?  Are you kidding?  Please see exhibit A in the bump section of the blog.
    • Sleep: Horrible.  Like, hardly any sleeping.  Feeling tired.
    • Best moments this past week:  Lukas' birthday was pretty fun.
    • Food cravings: Donuts.  They are starting to catch up to coke.  Why couldn't I crave spinach?
    • Gender: boy
    • Labor Signs: No
    • Belly Button in or out? In.  Flattening.
    • What I miss:  Sleeping.  In whatever position I want.
    • What I am looking forward to: This time next week we'll be at DISNEY WORLD!
    • Weekly Wisdom:  Figure out how to organize in a not obsessive manner.  Let me know when you do.  Ha ha.
    And now the baby is...

Still an eggplant. He has lots of brain things going on.  This week he can blink.  Also, we have decided on a name.  We'll decide when we share it at another time.

    And the bump...

Just wanted to give you a glimpse of the crazy whirlwind that I love to call my life.  This is my interpretation of Salvador Dali's Still Life Fast Moving seen here.  Are you impressed by the art reference?  I might be.

And here's what we were doing when I was this pregnant last time!

    Last Week of Trimester 2

This has been the fastest trimester EVER!  While October does feel like forever ago, I can hardly remember saying that I was still in my first trimester and longing for the happy days of trimester 2.

    And happy they have been!
    • I have had energy.
    • I have been able to eat food (probably a little too able).
    • We had Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
    • We found out that "it" is a HE (no we haven't picked a name).
    • My sweet big boy has grown and starting climbing, talking, eating with a spoon, and has done something new and excting daily.
    • I started working part time at a teaching job at Lukas' school.
    • And I even held a yard sale!!
Whew.  How could it not have gone by quickly?

And on a sidenote, I would like to point out that while in the last post I said I was craving hard core workouts, I have not actually gone through with the hard core workouts.  Just wanted to.  :)

    And now,

    • How far along? 27 weeks, bring it on third trimester!
    • Total weight gain/loss: I really don't know.  Somewhere between 16 and 19.
    • Maternity clothes? Yes. Although, someone asked me this week when I would start wearing maternity clothes.  Score!
    • Sleep: Eh.
    • Best moments this past week:  We had a really fun and successful yard sale yesterday.  We hit my goal and will be starting the nursery soon!  YAY!
    • Food cravings: Sweets
    • Gender: boy
    • Labor Signs: No
    • Belly Button in or out? In.  Flattening.
    • What I miss:  Nothing really.
    • What I am looking forward to: I am starting to volunteer at church as the "resource coordinator" for the kids ministry and this week I get to go in to organize, clean out, and get started with that.  Pretty excted.
    • Weekly Wisdom: Need a little extra cash?  Love gettting rid of stuff?  Have a yard sale!  Thank you Alicia, Cherilyn, and Jennifer for helping me!
    And now the baby is...

Still an eggplant. He is 2 pounds and about 15 inches. He has lots of tastebuds and his lungs are working really hard this week. His nostrils are no longer closed in. He is also opening and closing his eyes. Fun! This little boy has really picked up his moving this week.  I think he's laying perfectly sideways spanning across my tummy because I feel movement on either side of my belly button.

Last pregnancy, week 27 was a DOOZIE!  Check it out here!

And here is this week's bump picture.  I have been trying to get Cameron in all of the shots but he wasn't interested in taking this picture.  You can see why below.  :)  So here is just me and sweet little brother.
And for fun...  We went to Sawgrass Park on MLK day this year (yep, it's January and we're all wearing shorts.  I love the weather here!)  Cameron had a BLAST running up and down the boardwalk, stopping to look at everything, and waving to the oodles of people who had the same idea as us.  Seriously, I've never seen so many people at Sawgrass Lake before!  This will definitely be a repeat trip!

This is what we do when we get tired of walking :)

    26 Weeks

This post is short and sweet.

How far along? 26 Weeks AND we have less than 100 days to go!!!!
    Total weight gain/loss: + about 16
Maternity clothes? Yes. Lots of stretchy, low cut, elastic for me.
Sleep: Weird dreams.  Nothing really notable, just nightly weird dreams.
Best moments this past week:  Lukas' school had a really successful discovery night.  It is really fun to watch him speaking in front of over 100 people and then going back to the lab and answering questions in smaller groups.  He really is good at what he does.  Someone even asked another teacher what his credentials were because he looked so young!  Haha!
Food cravings: This week I have been back to Coke.
Other Cravings??  Okay, even I would be annoyed as the reader of this next statement, but I have had serious bursts of exercise cravings this pregnancy.  I have real moments where I WANT to go for a nice sprinty angry music heart rate pumping run, or take a kick boxing class.  I hold on to those moments in anticipation for when I'm ready to start into the hardcore again and hope that my muscle memory is as strong as these "cravings" have been.
    Gender: boy
    Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
    What I miss:  Christmas Vacation
What I am looking forward to: This Saturday I am hosting a yard sale.  I really hope that it goes well because I want to go nursery shopping and start making things to decorate with!  I am looking forward to showing you nursery pictures!  (Not to mention getting rid of stuff, cleaning out my front room, decluttering, a few of my favorite things!)
Weekly Wisdom: Sleep when you're tired.  As for me, that must mean fall asleep at 7pm on Monday and not wake up until 7am Tuesday.  Yes, seriously!

    And now the baby is...

An eggplant! He's also about a pound and 2/3. His eyes are forming and will be blinking in the next couple of weeks! His hearing is heightened and he's really getting to know the sound of our voices.  He's been hiccuping and moving like crazy these past few days!

And on a side note, I am going to go ahead and say it.  I have been very absent minded recently.  I know, insert airhead joke here at your leisure.  But seriously, I can't believe how often I can't remember simple thoughts from just minutes before hand.  It's a miracle that I am able to complete a blog post.
Last pregnancy at 26 weeks, I was celebrating Mother's Day!  Wowee!  If you want to see, go here

    25 Weeks

Boy does time sure fly around here when you're having fun!

We had an amazing Christmas break this year.  We stayed home in Florida this year, but that doesn't mean that we lacked in family time!

Lukas' uncle and aunt came and visited from Texas.  We took a 2 day get away down to Cape Coral to see my sister and her family.  My parents came to ring in the new year with us all the way from Georgia!  It was a super fun time.

After taking this past week to get back into the swing of things and catch up with sleep I feel great.  And that takes me to our 25th week!

The day after my parents left Florida got COLD.  I dislike the cold and I complain about the 2 days in a row that we have it.  On the flip side, you will very rarely hear me complain about the heat.  At all.  Maybe once in a blue moon, but that's it.

One thing that I am totally in love with when it comes to the cold is this sweet little boy in his new dinosaur hoodie sweatshirt.  Seriously.  Cutest thing ever!  This picture is a little far away and hard to tell because of the shadow, but below I have a much closer picture, so read the whole post.  (Thanks Jason and Alicia)

We took our picture in the middle of the week this week at a fun little park excursion.  I decorated for winter with a basket full of pinecones to go as my table center piece.  It matches my tan placemats very nicely and it was fun to hunt for pinecones with the whole fam.  Yep, that's even Bella with us!

    How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I really don't know right now actually.  I haven't weighed myself since before Christmas!
    Maternity clothes? Yes.
Sleep: I would like to say that I have been significantly more mellow this pregnancy, but every night I wake up and I am on my back (this is apparently a no no).  I think I am stressing out about it in my sleep and waking myself up.  Weird.
Best moments this past week:  We've had lots of really nice family time this week.
Movement: Totally.  Although, this baby is more mellow than Mr. Cameron.
Food cravings: Sweets.  I even make a dessert almost every night.  This week I made pudding, Jello, and M&M cookies.
    Gender: Boy.
    Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: I don't feel like I'm depriving myself of things this pregnancy.
What I am looking forward to: DISNEY WORLD next month!
Weekly Wisdom: If you really want something (craving wise) let yourself have a little of it.  Don't go crazy with it, just moderate.
Milestones:  We painted the nursery over the break.  It's cappuccino and wonderful.

    And now the baby is...
A pound and a half! Whoa! Capillaries are forming in both his lungs and under the skin to fill with blood. So we're getting blood and lungs! Woo hoo! We are also getting hair and a little bit of fat so he can be a nice chunky baby. He's also developing an equilibrium so he's learning up from down. (according to thebump.com)

And here is last pregnancy's post

Here are just some more cute pictures since it's been a while:

    Love my little Dino

Cameron is enjoying his new chair (Thanks Nanny and Poppy)

Cameron is holding his little baby.  This little baby belonged to Lukas.  He's such a snuggler.

    22 Weeks!

Yes you are reading that correctly.  No I didn't skip a week.  We have an updated, new and (I think) improved due date AND we are a week more pregnant than we had previously been following.

This is all information that I received at the doctor's appointment this week!  Our new due date is...

    APRIL 22, 2012

I am perfectly okay with being pregnant for one week less than I thought I was going to be and meeting our baby sooner!

In other news, if you haven't already read it, I posted last night about our Gender Reveal so scroll down to last night's post in order to read that.  I'll tell you now though that our little family is really excited to be welcoming a new baby...

    BOY!

I can hear the ball playing in the house as we speak.  But that may be because of Lukas juggling the soccer ball behind me (just kidding).  We are really excited!

    How far along? 22 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +8.4 pounds, but according to the doctor I've only gained 5 pounds.  They have me as a higher starting weight.
    Maternity clothes? Yes.
Sleep: Are nightmares caused by food sometimes?  Does that make sense?  I had Taco Bus last night and was having nightmare after nightmare all night long.  No fun.
    Best moments this past week:
            1.  Finding out that our sweet new baby is a BOY!
            2.  Officially beginning Christmas Break (Holla!)
            3.  Seeing the sweet little boy's picture on the sonogram.  He looks like he's sucking on his fingers and his legs are crossed.
Movement: Totally.  But at the same time, I feel as though he's already really mellow.  Is that weird?  At all of his ultrasounds he's been completely chilled out as opposed to Cameron who was jumping around.
Food cravings: It's Christmas.  I'm just craving food in general.
    Gender: Did I mention it's a boy?
    Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
    What I miss: Nothing today
What I am looking forward to: Starting the nursery.  Coming up with a name.
Weekly Wisdom: Well thought out, home made Christmas gifts can be just as fun (or more fun) than store bought ones.

I also saw a poem about gift giving that I kind of like, but haven't lived up to.  It goes:

    One they want
    One they need
    One they wear
    One they read

Milestones: We were told that the baby is 1 pound 1 ounce!  That's exciting!

I also have gutted out the room that is to be the nursery in preparation (it was formerly the guest room).  Nursery decorating here we come!

    And the baby is...

A papaya or a spaghetti squash. He is out of the ounces now and we are officially talking pounds! Really, 1 pound! We are about 8 inches tall and we have eyebrows. HE is starting sleeping cycles that last most of the day.

And if you'd like to read about last time at 22 weeks then go here.  I will tell you that I just learned by reading it myself that I am now working on 5 months!!!!  Wow!  What a realization!

So?? Little Brother or Little Sister??

We were all dying to know!

Adorable invitations (made by one of our favorites AKA Alicia) featuring our favorite toddler were sent to our local family members and a small group of friends.  I don't know how to show them to you though.  Let me get back to you on that one.

Doctor's appointment had been attended (telling Lukas and I the news).

Georgia family members were given the phone call (I didn't want them to find out on Facebook now did I?).

The Big Brother was totally ready for his star moment, and then it had arrived.

                                                                 And BOY did he shine!

We decided to tell everyone this time by having Cameron come out with the pink or blue (in our case blue) balloon to tell everyone that it was a BOY!

I am now outnumbered in our home!  And I am totally thrilled with that!

We cannot wait to meet our new little boy!
