I can't believe another month is over!
I can't believe that this time next week I will be telling you about how I am the mother of a 9 month old! Soon Cameron will have been out in the world longer than he was in utero! Wow!
April 24th- April 30th
Sunday April 24th
See here for Easter Sunday 2011.
Monday April 25th
Today was a very special day! Lukas didn't have school so we got to be together all day long as a family!
We woke up, went to the mall to buy a new suit that Lukas looks positively dapper in. Now we don't ever have to skip the formal dinner on a cruise or borrow a suit for something nice that we're going to. Then we had lunch together.
Lunch is my favorite meal of the day. I'm not usually hungry for breakfast and lunch serves my favorite kinds of foods. (AKA Sandwiches and French Fries) Cameron had a good time too!

Not much happened for us out in the world on Tuesday. Tuesday is Lukas' long day at work and he has soccer tonight, so Cameron and I get extra time together. We went to the grocery store and hung out together. It was special, yet pretty uneventful.
Wednesday, April 27th
Because of Lukas being out of town this Thursday, we substituted lunch on Thursday with lunch on Wednesday. But not before Cameron decided to pull himself up to standing and help me put away the dishes!

Cameron did the smartest thing today. He is such a problem solver. (Note: The following photos are a reenactment, not the actual event)
Problem: Ball is out of reach, under the kitchen table.

Solution: Try to reach for it and see that that isn't working so come up with an alternate solution. That solution is to turn around and scoot backwards on our bottom, separating the chairs from one another in order to make space to fit and reach the ball.

Yeah Bud, you're a smart guy!

Thursday, April 28th
Today was a very important day for Lukas and the 5th graders at his school. They work really hard all year to look forward to today. This is the day that they all get to go to Kennedy Space Center and spend the night at their overnight adventure.
I was a little nervous but at the same time, excited for them.
Today Cameron ate an entire banana by himself. I'm not talking about the little dinky bananas, I'm talking about a big banana! He was so proud of himself. How big is Cameron? SOO Big!

Friday, April 29th
Today was a big day! Mommy woke up at 4 in the morning and watched the Royal Wedding with some friends at the wonderfully put together Royal Wedding Party hosted by Janet.
We had yummy English breakfast foods, wore our pajamas, and watched the gorgeous event. I positively LOVE the newly wedded couple and I LOVED everything about their day!
I think the new duchess picked the perfect dress and I loved all of the hats that everyone wore. One of my favorite moments of the day was when she came out onto the balcony and said "WOW" to the million people who all came to that balcony to see her. What a feeling that entire day must have been. I hope she was able to soak it all in.
If you know me, then you know that I love weddings. This was no exception whatsoever.
Later that night, Lukas came home from a fun (yet slightly disappointing, due to the cancellation of the shuttle launch) trip with his school. Until next year!
Saturday, April 30th
This morning Cameron and I went yard saling. This is not a hobby I intend to pick up on. I was on a mission today that was somewhat accomplished. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Yard Sales are not my thing. I did have fun with Jennifer and Gavin though!
That night we went for a 6 mile run around Treasure Island. This was no normal run though. Tonight I took it upon myself to FALL (I give you permission to LOL). This was no normal fall though, this was a forward dive. On one side of me, oncoming traffic. On the other side, a raised curb on top of the hole where the sewer goes. (RIP Water bottle). I honestly thought for a second that I was going to be going down the drain, but luckily, I didn't. I ended up with a scraped and bloody knee, shoulder, right thumb, and hand palms. At least this time, I didn't land on my face. :)
Good grief, kiddo, I'm glad you're OK, and that you didn't fall INTO the traffic!!! Take better care of yourself!
