Okay, so technically we did other fun things in GA and NC before going to Chi-Town, but, the Chicago photos are up on my computer and the others aren't yet, so forgive me for going slightly out of order.
I should also mention that I did also stop to get gas in SC, so there is another state to add to the list. Thanks Dad.
One of the first things that we knew after we knew that we would be going to Chicago was that we had to have some authentic "Chicago style" pizza. We are the types of travelers who go to the bookstore and pick out the Frommer's or Rick Steve's guide to wherever and purchase it. We then follow their guidelines pretty accurately.
Mr. Frommer suggested that we try Gino's East pizza so we did. We literally checked into our hotel, let Cameron crawl around for a while (the kid had not been allowed to move for hours), then walked directly to the pizzeria.
We were seated almost immediately but we knew (because of our book) that the pizza took 40-50 minutes to make so we ordered a yummy appetizer consisting mostly of fried things. It was yummy.
Then (music playing..) the pizza came. It was everything we expected. We had to share a small. It was cheesy and gooey and down right yummy! Cameron even agreed (he only had some of the crust though). Then we took lots of pictures.
