Tourists

Considering that we live along the coast of Florida, we have a lot of exposure to tourists. It's not uncommon during a certain time of year (or all year) to walk through any given parking lot and see a different state displayed on the license plates of all of the cars you walk past.

I also learned from the very informative show Pawn Stars that back in the day (when people used trunks instead of suitcases and cruised to Europe instead of flew) people used to take "tours". These tours would last months. This is where the term "tourist" came from.

Well, our little family had the grand opportunity of "touring" this summer. In the span of 12 days we had ourselves in 4 states (including Florida but not including the states we flew over). We rode in a car, on an airplane, in a train, and on a boat.

We soaked in the title of tourist from the use of our map in the middle of downtown all the way to our camera around our neck look.

We had the pleasure of visiting my family in Georgia, some great friends in NC, and the grand city of Chicago. Even Bella traveled with us (but only to Georgia, she had a sitter the rest of the locations).

We took a bagillion pictures. Here are just a few...

And of course... More on that later. Check back in tomorrow. :)
