My Husband's a Star!

I of course already knew that.

Now more people get to know that. Allow me to preface why he is suddenly reaching star status with a statement of pride.

Lukas has really pushed and challenged himself over the years. He has challenged his brain by going to graduate school (but let's admit, that's easy for Lukas). He has challenged himself professionally by going for and receiving National Certification the first time (which is hard). He has challenged himself personally by stepping out and speaking in front of people.

I have literally watched him step out of his comfort zone on a pretty regular basis to do stuff that he "would never have done".

It used to be a big deal for him to lead a parent meeting for the soccer team he coaches. In this year alone he has led a school wide training amongst his peers, spoken at a parent night in front of many incoming parents for his school and today...

He was on tv. Yes, our Lukas is now a tv star (well, maybe that's an exaggeration, but I'm still putting it!). His school was nominated for and then won the FOX 13 Cool School. This means that the local "Good Morning" news cast came out to the school and interviewed many staff members and students. The whole school was outside in the courtyard for a pep rally. I have to say, they looked pretty cool today.

Even in the midst of his nerves and discomfort, Lukas (and everyone else involved) looked great and I am SUPER proud of them!

The first video doesn't feature Lukas, but if you are able to view the other small videos, there is one where he is introduced and is talking about the Engineering program at the school. He's a pretty cool guy and they really are a cool school.
