32 Weeks

Well hello 8 months!

In case you were wondering, yes I went to camp this week, something every third trimester pregnant lady does I'm sure, and yes I survived. While it was an exhausting week, I was inside for 90 percent of the day and drank lots of water so it wasn't bad.

What's most important about the week is that lots of children were loved and had a great time and that is just fun to experience! For their safety, I won't be posting any pictures. Just make a mental note of children having LOTS of fun.

What I can talk to you more openly about is the amazing weekend that I had coming STRAIGHT out of camp. I literally left the camp and went to pick up my mom who flew in special for this weekend. We left the airport and went to the lunch at my favorite, CD Romas followed by manicures. It was a lovely day.

The next day I woke up and got ready for my baby shower. There truly are no words. Every detail, and I mean EVERY detail was completely Kelly-Inspired. The invitations, the location, the decorations, the food, everything!

It was held in one of my favorite places to be. The gorgeous home of some dear friends who always make sure that when I am there, I feel welcome and at home.

The food was all made to meet the needs of my tastebuds. Double stuffed Oreos, cocktail weiners (Kosher), fruit, and Chick Fil-A platters. All yummy Kelly Items.

Everyone brought a book for baby Hefty and lots of people wrote him something on the inside. One book was even from one of my best friend's personal childhood library and it was called "Best Friends". I'm not going to lie, I got a little teary for that one!

I got more gifts than I could have possibly imagined. Lots and lots of clothes, books, bibs and such. All adorable, of course!

Alicia and her mom got a clothesline of outfits. One outfit was for each month of the year and they got bigger as the baby got older. It was very sweet.

I also got a personally knitted blanket and hat, a custom made baby bag, as well as a bathtub filled with goodies. Seriously folks, these are just to name a few things!

All of the games that we played were games that my hostesses had heard me say I liked before. We drew babies without looking, and played Bingo with the gifts that I received. Fun Fun!

Seriously, to my hostesses, I could not feel more special and loved after a day and a celebration like this one. It was evident that thought and work were put into this day and I couldn't have asked for better friends than you all. Your eye for detail really touched me so thank you!

Mom, thank you so much for flying down and spending this time with me. It would not have been the same without you there.

And onto baby stuff:

And now the baby is...

Still a squash. He's about 4 pounds and almost 17 inches long. He's got fingernails and toenails and is fattening up. His skin is no longer see through and he continues to gain weight every day.

  1. Kelly, I would not allow a 4lb squash in my garden...they need to be picked long before that! Seems to me he has exceeded the vegetable analogies. Perhaps we should move on to small animals or something.

So good to see you...you are so beautiful pregnant.
